2016 Legacy Alum - Collegiate Honors

Collegiate Honors 2016

As many collegiate programs are either finishing their fall seasons or currently in their respective conference tournaments, Legacy is excited to recognize some Legacy Youth and Legacy 76 Alums for each of their merits this fall.

Representing Legacy - Reeves Trott, Max Poelker, Jay Fox, and Jimmy Grace have all earned significant achievements this season, ranging from Player of the year to multiple all rookie team honors.  Legacy would also like to congratulate Dan Weiler of CNU for his second CAC Women’s Coach of the Year award.

Reeves Trott finished the regular season receiving CAA All-Rookie Squad with 5 goals and two assists while playing or starting in all 18 games for the Tribe.  Reeves received CAA Rookie of the Week twice this fall.

Max Poelker finished his fall campaign on the Big South Honorable Mention team as well as the Big South All-Freshman team.  Poelker finished the season leading his team with 7 goals this fall.

Jimmy Grace, a player for Legacy 76 this past summer who led the group to the NPSL playoffs for the first time ever by leading in goals and assists, took his momentum into his fall season at CNU.  Grace earned the CAC Player of the Year award by tearing it up for 11 goals and 6 assists.

Jay Fox earned his first honor for the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan by way of All-ODAC Third Team.  Fox performed well for the Marlins by shutting out his opponents 7 times and defending the net for 87 saves over all 18 games of the season.
