Legacy Phoenix Player helps Virginia State ODP team reach National Finals
Virginia Legacy Phoenix player helps lead Virginia ODP state team to Region Title!
Abbie McIninch, a Virginia Legacy/Williamsburg Soccer Club player since U10, has helped lead her state team to the National ODP Finals. Abbie was select as one of the top 18 players in the state for her age group. They recently participated in the Region I ODP tournament at Rider College in New Jersey. While there they played three 1st round game games. In the first round they faced teams from Pennsylvania, New York, and Maine . With two wins and a tie they advanced to the Semi-finals which took place in Kirkwood, Delaware. In the semi-finals of the tournament they faced off against Maryland and rolled to a 3-0 victory. In the finals they faced a very difficult Eastern New York team but edged them out 1-0 to win the championship. Abbie had 3 goals in the tournament while Virginia was scored on only once. They will go to Dallas in February for the National tournament.
