Legacy 76 Signs Peninsula's Best​

 

 

Williamsburg Va. – The Legacy 76 in now in the middle of the signing period of the 2016 season.  Among some already singed are returning players Alec Faulkner (2 time all-region at CNU & Christ Church), Reilly Maw (W&M & Tabb), and Jeff Wolons (Virginia Tech & Jamestown).  All three of these recent signings starred for the Virginia Legacy during their youth careers.

 

Reilly Maw

At Tabb Maw received First Team All-District, All-Region and All-State honors following his senior season… Named the Virginia High School All-Star Game’s MVP… Owns the Tabb High School goal scoring records for a single-season (36) and the career (86)…. As a junior was tabbed to the First Team All-District, All-Region, and All-State, while helping lead Tabb to an AA State Quarterfinals appearance… Was Second Team All-District and All-Area as a sophomore.

 

Alec Faulkner

At Christ Church Faulkner played two sports every year of high school, including four years of soccer under head coach Matt Schaefer...Helped lead team to state championship his junior year... Named All-State player three years in a row Earned Player of the Year honors his junior and senior seasons and named team MVP his senior year

 

Jeff Wolons

At Jamestown Jeff was a multiple-time all-state selection who led his team to a state title … Senior season was named Virginia 4A State Player of the Year after a school record 46 goals ... Named NSCAA Regional All-American his senior year ... Also named all-district, all-region and the conference player of the year … Played club ball for the Virginia Legacy CCL and ODP Region 1

 

Legacy 76 Competes in the NPSL, the largest amateur league in the United States.  Legacy 76 provides the community with an opportunity to experience elite-level, minor league soccer up close.  A majority of the team’s roster will include players with connections to local college programs and many of which participated in youth and high school programs throughout the Tidewater region.  This will allow the thousands of youth soccer players currently playing the game with a viable opportunity to develop a positive and inspirational soccer role model.
