Legacy Players and Parents:

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. We have made a lot of progress but still have a long way to go and need your help! 

In an effort to raise awareness, help with the fight and show our support in the fight against breast cancer – which affects so many people either directly or indirectly – Virginia Legacy has partnered with Riverside Health Systems to provide All Virginia Legacy players a new Pink warm-up shirt – to wear during team warm-ups at all games during the month of October.  We want all kids to wear these shirts instead of the grey game warmup shirts while warming up for league and tournament games during October. These are not for practices but to be worn before games please

We also encourage ALL LEGACY teams to do more.  While we dont allow teams to change the uniform configurations with pink socks or other ideas – we don’t have an issue with pink wristbands, headbands, ribbons in hair or something else creative that doesn’t affect the uniform (jersey, shorts, socks) so that teams still look similar while at their games.

Shirts will begin to be distributed Thursday and this weekend at games.  If you would like to make arrangements to get your shirts at the office Thursday Oct 3rd before 7pm or Friday Oct 4th from 9-4pm you may email admin@valegacysoccer.com.

Any teams not being able to get their shirts Thurs, Fri or Sat, Sun will get them next week at training. You may also contact your Director of Coaching via email to arrange for pickup of your teams shirts.
