Two Legacy Directors Receive USSF "A" License

03/05/2010

Bobby O'Brien and Pat McStay both took and passed their "A" License earlier this year at the Home Depot Center-home of the LA Galaxy. The "A" License is the highest soccer coaching license obtainable in the United States. The "A" License course is a 9-Day, 80 hour course consisting of a written exam, oral exam, match analysis, and practical exams (on the field). The practical exams (on the field) were evaluated by US National Staff Coaches. The US National Staff Coaches that were present were Dean Wurzberger-Current Head Coach at University of Washington, Rene Miramontes-Head Coach at San Diego State, Asst. Coach with US Paralympic Team, and Region IV Head Coach, and Carlos Juarez-Former Director of Coaching at Claremont Stars and Current Assistant Coach for Chivas USA in the MLS.

With the two Directors of Coaching receiving their "A" License, VA Legacy now has 4 "A" License coaches on their staff with Tim Cristian, VA Legacy's Technical Director and Johnny Yu, U16 Wizards Coach as the other two.
