VLSC Acknowledges a Loss

VLSC wanted to acknowledge the recent passing of Mary Beth Scruggs after her courageous battle with cancer. Mary Beth and her family have faithfully supported the Club for almost 15 years. She was known by her fellow soccer parents as an incredibly nice person, providing a friendly face and kind word to everyone. She will be terribly missed by us and by all who knew her. Mary Beth's sons, Michael and Richard have played with the Club since they were 7 years old. Michael has continued his playing career at West Virginia Wesleyan and Richard, a U-18 player, hopes to continue playing in college, as well. Mary Beth's husband Mike has coached teams and supported the Club since the boys were young.

Mary Beth's family requested that contributions in her memory be made to Hospice Support Care of Williamsburg, located at 4445 Powhatan Pkwy., Williamsburg, VA 23188. The Club has made a donation in Mary Beth's memory and we encourage you to do the same in recognition of Mary Beth's contribution to our Club and to our community.
