Legacy PDL Youth Programs

Micro - Premier League (kids ages 4-6)

The Micro-Premier League is for soccer players ages 4-6.   This league takes place over the summer before each Legacy PDL home game.  Each week the players show up in their official Legacy MPL shirt and they are split into teams of 4, where they will play 4 v 4 games against the other kids in the class.  The league will take place before warmups for the PDL game on the same field!  The Legacy players will also be involved with coaching and supervising all the kids to make sure they are having a great time.  Legacy games are a great family atmosphere and it is a great way for the team to give back to the young kids in the community while also providing great instruction and a fantastic experience for the youngsters. 

For more information on the 2008 MPL league contact Chris Scrofani at 253-1947 or exec@valegacysoccer.com.  Information on this years season will be out in April.  The cost of the program: (8) 40 min games over the season - $85.  All legacy games are played in the evenings during the summer starting May 17th.

Legacy Apprentice Program (Youth players 7 - 14) 

The Legacy Apprentice Program is a unique way for the young players within the youth club to become a part of the Legacy PDL franchise.  The program offers 20 kids the opportunity to become "apprentices" for one of the PDL players.  The players then inturn become mentors for the kids and work with them throughout the summer.  As an apprentice you are paired with a player off the first team and get 7 small group training sessions with your mentor throughout the summer.  The apprentices are also a part of gameday activities including warmups with the team, walkouts with the players before the game and national anthem, halftime activities and post game cool down.  The apprenctices also receive PDL training shirts with club logos and USL league patches.  Last years apprentice program was even featured by the United Soccer Leagues.  For the article and more information read here..  The home game schedule is posted online under the fixtures and results section of PDL and the small group training will begin the week of June 2nd and take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 at Queens Lake middle school, right before the first teams training.  The training groups will be based on age, ability as well as availability to ensure you get as many sessions in as possible over the summer around your schedule.
