** WEATHER UPDATE **

Today is Monday, February 8th at 10:45am.  We will be making the final decision over the next 48 hours as to what capacity this event will be played.  We received 8-10 inches of snow last weekend and 3-5 inches this weekend.  Despite all of that, some of our fields will be playable this weekend-some will not.  We are meeting with the county over the next 48 hours to determine which sites will still play. 

It is assumed that with this weather, the schedule will change.  We may shorten halves to get more teams in to play this weekend.  We will not go any shorter than 60 minute games.  After we determine which fields are playable, we will start to make the new schedule.  I will try to keep coaching requests in mind, but due to the weather, try to be flexible.  

Please refrain from sending emails or calling our office.  Nothing will be determined between now and Wednesday.  We have talked to the Williamsburg Hotel Motel Association as well.  Any teams who have booked through them-in the event we cancel the tournament or a portion of it, your rooms will be canceled at the same time to ensure no teams are penalized for canceling their rooms later than WHMA's policy.  If you booked through Country Inn and Suites in Newport News, you will also be okay if we cancel by Wednesday.

Fields-
Fields are dynamic, can, and do change. The President's Day Cup and Showcase utilizes some of the finest fields in Williamsburg and surrounding areas. Listed below are the field complexes that may be used. This event reserves the right to change fields at any time for any reason.  U13 and U14 Boys and Girls will be playing at the NEW York County Sportsplex (4311 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown, VA, 23692).  Williamsburg Hotel-Motel already knows about the age groups playing in Yorktown and they will take care of all of your needs    (757-220-3330).  U15-U19 Top flights will play at Warhill and everyone else will play at one of the other three surrounding sites.
