The Virginia Legacy and FC Richmond are proud to announce their joint venture, combining the Williamsburg Cup and the Richmond Cup, two outstanding tournaments, into one tremendous event dubbed the 2013 Virginia Cup. The event will take place over Labor Day weekend on September 1st and 2nd.
This year’s event will attract upwards of 250 travel teams from the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. And will feature games in both Williamsburg (U10-U13) and in Richmond (U14-U19). The tournament fields will be played on either high quality natural Bermuda grass fields and synthetic turf fields. The Virginia Cup will utilize Warhill Sports Complex, River City SportsPlex (formerly SportsQuest) and West Creek Soccer Complex, all fields used by the nationally recognized Jefferson Cup.
Virginia Cup will feature competitive brackets for every level of team. From the most competitive teams to a club’s second or third level teams, the Virginia Cup should provide a very competitive bracket for an exciting tournament weekend. Combining two existing tournaments will give us the flexibility to ensure your team is placed in a competitive bracket.
