David Pickeral Memorial Scholarship

David Alan Pickeral
(1988-2005)
Thank you too all individuals, team, clubs and leagues that have donated to the David Pickeral Memorial Scholarship Fund. Presently we have received over $23,500 in donations. The Virginia Legacy Soccer Club (VLSC) Board of Directors decided that the fund would be invested in an endowment fund that the Board of Directors will oversee. Each year a $1,000 worth of scholarship money will be awarded in David's name to Virginia Legacy Soccer Club senior(s) intending to continue their studies at college. The applicant may be male or female but must have played with the VLSC for at least three years. The Board of Directors will develop and oversee an application process. A review committee will award the scholarship. The money must go towards tuition, fees, housing or books. It is not necessary to continue playing soccer in college to be considered for the scholarship. Scholarship winners are announced in May.
David was a goalkeeper with the Williamsburg Soccer Club who passed away in a tragic accident during a soccer game on November 5th, 2005.
