Pre-School Soccer Opportunities for Entire Community
The Virginia Legacy Soccer Club is proud to announce a brand new opportunity for the youngest members of our Williamsburg soccer community! Starting on January 8thThe Virginia Legacy will partner with R.F. Wilkinson Family YMCA of Williamsburg VA to provide pre-school soccer to YMCA members/non-members of our community! For the past 5 years, the Virginia Legacy has slowly grown our pre-school program from one location to four! The Virginia Legacy now attends The Kensington School in Williamsburg and Toano, Bright Heights Learning Center in Newport News, and now the R.F. Wilkinson Family YMCA. Unlike our lovely partners at TKS and BHLC, our newest program at YMCA is the first pre-school program available to the entire community – member or not! The Virginia Legacy Soccer Club’s pre-school program focuses on developing a child’s dexterity and balance through the game of soccer. Each 30 minute class, guided by Legacy asst. youth programs director – Kendal Pressey – places each child with their own ball as they explore space and movements that promotes early child development. “Over the last 5 years, the demand for pre-school programs have grown beyond what we could provide. We are very excited to announce our partnership with the R.F. Wilkinson YMCA because of what our two organizations can provide to our community.” – Bobby O’Brien (Virginia Legacy Technical Director)
